Got a camcorder? Everytime the cops come out videotape EVERYTHING from inside the house.
Most Cali. cops hate video. Don't let 'em tell ya ya gotta turn it off. They're on YOUR property and you have the right to preserve their actions on video. Videotape will prove your compliance and their harrasment. If they keep it up make copies of the tape and give it to the news outlets. Don't give it to the cops.. it'll disappear if ya do.

I feel for you chicomed............it not fair to add extra stress to good families.........make sure you let everyone know whats going on...........Not all your neighbours will be ass-holes, some may help you more than you could imagine..............your not doing anything illegal........you have the paperwork and a judge should respect that even if the police dont comprehend whats going on...............

I feel for ya chicomed as I am also a "legal" county card carrying grower. Here we are allowed only the state minimums and the county sheriff does inforce it where they can. Due to the amount of negative publicity that has been generated here by the DA and the sheriff office over busting legal operations they have backed off almost completely. They have there hands full with all of the large 10,000 to 30,000 plant grows both here in the valley and up in the mountains.

As frustrating as it may seem you have more problems to be concerned about than police harrassment. I do not know a legal grower in our county that ever even considers the law enforcement agencies as a problem. What is a problem is being jacked at gunpoint by gang members. They will not only jack your plants and your grow gear, but have broken into homes at gunpoint. They figure if you grow pot you got lots of cash laying around.

As far as the police needing a search warrant to check on your outside grow, your just pissing in the wind on that one. Remember it was your neighbor who turned you in. Apparently all they would have to do is look over your neighbors fence into your yard and see your plants. Once they see your plants they have probable cause to enter your backyard to make sure you are legal. Entering your abode is a whole different ball game and a warrant must be obtained under federal and state guidelines.

Do your mom a favor and keep your grow on the downlow for safetys sake. You can't grow indoors for some reason? If you must grow outdoors then grow your plants low to the ground using a horizontal trellis system two foot off the ground. You will produce just as much bud or more and your neighbors won't see it. Out of site out of mind and all that.

His advise is sound. You haven't broken any state laws so no need to fear from the state.

Use the knowledge you've garnered here and build yourself and family one hell of a veggie garden. Your neighbors might actually aquire a different respect for your "abilities" per say. Make them (neighbors) realize your not just a stoner bumb but someone who actually uses the herb for medicinal benefit.

You catch more bees with honey than vinegar bro. It sucks, but it's that way for a reason and that reason is because more people should be tolerant of others needs!

It sucks being harrassed like that man, but re-read your sig and take a stand.

What are they complaining about?
Neighbor rage can and has turned violent over silly, petty things. Just a couple of months ago, around here, two families were torn apart over a fence. One man was shot dead, and the other, with the circumstances, will be gone for a long time and possibly face death himself.
Folks who knew both, said they were great people. But, each was so passionate that they were right, they couldn't see what others saw.

I would do as resinman suggested and either build a greenhouse, a fence, or something so that your MJ garden is not in the face of your neighbors. Marigyp's idea of going flat with a trellis is a good one too. He also has a good point about getting jacked too - remember if your neighbor can see and know about the garden others can too and that could put everyone's safety at risk. If your neighbors are complaining to the cops then they're complaining to their friends and I'm sure one of their friends is probably thinking :hmm: maybe I could score me that grow and make some $$.

If you can afford the space and expense to grow inside it is probably the easiest way to end all issues.

I hear ya about moving - If i didn't have a family and all that I'd move from my nazi state to somewhere in Cali (like next door to Marigyp :D :D )... sometimes moving isn't an option.

Thanks everyone, I was REAL PISSED that the LEO would not defend me.

I have a ornamental growers license and have raised over $ 10 K for my local schools thru orn. plant/ tree sales...........I have been given 3 awards from PTA ( I'm not a PTA member, they just gave me the award for kicking ass and helping people) and local schools for helping make them a better place.

I am also a Stanford Med School Grad (PA/NP Program) w/ honors and am Board certed. in General Medicine/Primary Care/ Surgery.

I am also a MMJ patient for chronic pain due to "line of duty " injuries in 20 years in the Fire Service.

I don't like being treated like a "criminal lowlife" just because I use MMJ, and it should be noted that MMJ works better than ANY RX DRUG I have gotten from a pharmacy.................and I have tried ALL the RX drugs available for my symptoms.

My wife and I discussed things (she is TOTALLY straight) , and we are going to move to a new home in a different neighborhood as I didn't want to move to this yuppie Estates Sub-d. in the first place , I built my wife and kids their "dream home" 10 years ago.........but I didn't want to live here........!!!
We are the only people w/o "Bush/Cheney" signs on the lawn and cars.......!!!!

There has been a lot of other "hood" BS dealing w/ these "so-called Yuppies - wanna be rich people" over the years .......and this latest just seals it.

Give me a nice blue-collar working "hood" , with nice "real" working people anyday......that's where I feel at home; fk. these social climbing cocksuckers.

He was real nice and actually gave me some good advice and expressed sympathy for my position and gave me the name of some people to contact in BCSO and I offered to volunteer to help his dept. learn more about MMJ as I have a power-point presentation on MMJ that I have given at medical conferences........and he liked some of the ideas I had for making a county ID card to help everyone.

So, we may end up making some lemonade out of these "lemons" in the end.

My sincere appreciation to everyone at this site and my apologies for losing my cool. I had another major surg. 4 wks. today and it was unsuccessful, so now I have no supraspinatus tendon to hold my L. arm in the socket and it is very painful and I am completely "sleep deprived" and not thinking clearly these days.

I actually start it w/ a picture of "Cheech and Chong" from the movie "Up in Smoke", to bring that view up right away.....the copy i have now was from a talk I gave on VI in Vic., BC in '02, and it has a lot of info on how to get "legal " thru Health Canada.

It also talks about cann. being a relative of the "mulberry plant", a lot about the comments made by racist politicians at the time of the Cann. Tax Act, etc., and a lot of stuff the average North American does not know about how cannabis has been used for thousands of years, how every major drug manu. used cann. in it's analgesic medicines (Eli Lily, Merck,etc.) and about the marvels of fiber (8x the fiber of timber per acre), food (omega 3 fatty acids and the seeds have a enzyme usually only found in Mothers breast milk, fuel ( Woody H. drives a hemp fuel car), etc. etc. How >50% of the World's pesticides are sprayed on Cotton (that spray is a "petro-chemical", ie "oil bidness" !!!!!!, and hemp needs no spraying.......the poor chemical companies and oil business would lose a lot of money........!!!!

Also on the same CD , there is a presentation on "Virtual Colonoscopies" which is a non-invasive computer generated colonscopy that I give patient consults post exam (one day a week). If you are over 50 you need a colonoscopy,....if a positive family HX of Colon CA , you neeed a "scope" at 40 +, then every 3 -5 years. period, no exceptions.....colon CA #2 killer in USA and >90% curable w/ early detection.

Update,.........as of today ,............in the last three weeks , "crazy neighbor" has torn up my water system,.........and the last 2 Saturday nights has torn the shit and broken, stomped down my plants,..........

LEO won't help me..............., I keep tying them back together w/ duct tape and wire.....they are STILL ALIVE...!!!!!!!!!

I truly feel for you

I myself have had troubled neighbours everything was fine as long as I was throwing some there way out of generosity and kindness. then one night I heard them talking when they were messed up on blow and were debating to rip me off or turn me in for reward
One night they came over all pushy with friends and trying to power trip on me and had to actually physically shove them out and the one guys girlfriend starting to try and kick my door in I was losing on the other side she was lucky to be a female. I had a bat in my hand just waiting.
I ripped down and moved

I get riled up just thinking about it
