Federal medical marijuana prisoner Vern Rylee has been removed from the Sacramento jail to Ft Worth Tx, apparently on account of the federal gov'ts incapacity to deal humanely with his medical disabilities. How much taxpayers' money is the federal govt wasting trying to keep this poor man in its incompetent custody? - D. Gieringer, Cal NORMLVern's daughter Angelena reports:As of 3/2/06, I received a phone call from my father last night. He is ok. He is in Ft Worth, TX. The marshalls took him on a private jet with 2 piolets, one doctor, one nurse, and three guards. Dad was able to lay down for the trip, but because of the trip he was not able to get up for two days afterwards. He said that if a man goes down in there that they would starve to death. They would not bring him his tray, he had to get up and get it.He reported that he is not getting any pain pills for his back and that all they are doing is psyc. evaluations. He said that the doctor told him just to get up. He reported he can walk only to the toilet (just a few shuffled steps)and then back to bed and if he sits up in the wheelchair for more than 30 minutes that he starts throwing up.Overall he sounded well - other than crying alot. We can't talk too serious with him because he breaks down.The address I send earlier is a good address. He is receiving his main.He wanted me to ask it there is any way that the Sac. Main Jail can be held accountable for what has happened to him while he was in there (the fall and substandard care)?I will keep everyone informed as more information because available.Please write him - Understand - my dad can't read or write very well.
