When is it safe?

I got a spider mite infestation and just sprayed with Avid for the first time ever. How long do I have to wait until it has broken down and it is safe to harvest? My plants have at least another month to go.

hort, from my understanding 4wks is the outside window, however Avid has never been tested for ingestion via combustion.. so we don't really know for sure. here's some info i posted about it in OldSog's thread; https://www.cannabis-world.org/cw/showthread.php?t=1680

personally, i wouldn't use it on anything beyond vege. one time i watched 55 plants reduced to 4, because of an infestation in my bloom area @ around 3wks. it made me sick, but i wouldn't take the chance.

Well , I guess I was a self tester . I used it at 3 weeks prior to harvest , 19 days before to be exact . Only a slight deadening of very few pistils . No chemical taste to the buds , no respiratory problems or anything I can relate to ya` . It was if it had never been used at all......except the mites disappeared ! And if I`m not mistaken , Avid breaks down pretty quickly.....just a few days . Just my 2 cents worth . peace...burnie

Thanks burnie, it gives me hope. All the plants look great now and have bounced back to putting out lotsa pistils again. I plan on letting them go 4 - 6 weeks before harvest just to be sure.
