we got some black gold x dwarf looking like that too. Watch for any the have a sparse growth pattern in flower allowing lots of light penetration, thats a Black Gold trait. And a very good trait at that. Oh my buddy who made those seeds will be so happy to see your girls (hopefully they are mostly). I would try topping the Swamp Heroins before they start budding out too much.

you can make f2's if ya want of the BGxD, but be warned the BG was a clone selection from a polyhybrid between a special BC Kush clone and a f1 my buddy made that he called Sno White (aka Pepper Pot due to a pepper flavour). If you arent worried about space, let the Sh grow tall, but I think they will buish out way better, and yield more, if topped or tied down and knuckled a couple times.

Im feeding these ladies, comfrey, camomile, and stinging nettle tea; it smells so good and actually tastes great, I drank a glass................A hippy neighbour says she uses comfrey for flowering plants in her garden..........This should also improve taste, because we all know your herb tastes like what you feed it...... Im also thinking, there may be a secret tea combination for flushing plants while maximizing resing production........Has anyone read the DR. Hornby article in the CC magazine, this guy knows his resin......

So here are a few more picture taken last week, next week ill post more resin coated photos......
1. a monster sweetskunk which is now under the tarps for a week.
edit;;2.3. Hippycrack
4. a sweetskunk and a Purple Gsus.......but she should take about 9weeks, so I think she has 7 to go....
5. Is another Purple Romulan, but notice the difference in growth pattern from the other two PR pictures.....This clone was taken off a plant in flower, and it takes forever to revert this strain, but it will eventually come around, this one reverted then I vegged for another week and then I threw this one back in the trailer after tieing her down.....

Your going to be in for a purple girl in the fall with the Black Gold x Dwarf man. I just saw/smoked some 2 week premie indoor grown by a local I gave seeds to. It turned purpley black on the tops of some leaves and the bottoms of the vast majority of leaves (I am talking little sugar leaves on bud) Room temps were at 80*f - 85*f during lights on. Strong weed too for premie, it actually gets ya STONED. I cant wait till the fall :D :D :D

outdoordreams
07-30-2006, 11:18 PM
Patiently I await the fall aswell, my one female BlackGoldXdwarf is very unique. Going to have me some purple pot selection come fall......
So here we go with more pictures for you all to see......

1.& 4 BlackGoldxdwarf female
2 &3 HolyGold female (the smallest thinnest preflowers Ive ever seen) And this plant is such a nice color and growth structure is short stout xmas tree all the way......I hope my clone survives till next summer.......That if she smokes as good as she looks......
5. Holygold Still hasnt sexed. Thick stock....

outdoordreams

07-30-2006, 11:39 PM
And more.....Until next week this is it.....

1 2. This is the monster TAS, and a purple pineberry,( they are nicely sharing this space, which I thought would be more than enough room but as you can see they fill in the space nicely.......The top profile the left side is PP, the right side is a TAS.
3. Swamp Herion #1
4. Swamp Herion #2 Bent over and topped (as suggested) Responding very nicely, still no preflower.
5 two Purple pineberries sharing space......

outdoordreams
08-06-2006, 11:45 PM
So Grape is the flavour of the black pheno blackvelvet F2. Very floral grape.......Maybe got mixed with the blackvelvetXbluechemo? but smells dank all the same.......doing my best to save this one......

So here are some more pictures......not to many cause I spent most of my extra time last week battling powderymildew...........but the biosoy M and the lemon juice are doing the trick I think........Ill post more about the lemon juice after I experiment some more next week.......

Cool! Very nice grow so far outdoordreams! Tarping them is really helping you get early buds with those strains, which is pretty neat. For me, I can't tarp mine, so I have to use the very early varieties like Guerilla Gold crosses and such. Good job man. They look awesome!

Thanks for dropping by everyone! Got some more plant survival stories and some more pictures.......Well a major wind storm came through the valley and the 007 colas were beating the ground, trees fell, and some plants were lost.....actually I think only one is dead, the rest will live, but I should take a picture, a 8-10inch diameter tree laying across a previous picture above.......lucky I was above the patch at time when another tree came down close by......going to move that patch cause there are about 3 more monsters about to fall........but other than that the plants the horses topped are coming back nicely......and I visited the neighbouring hippy, the chicken shit medicine man!!!, all he feeds is chicken shit, then comfrey than a cap full of morbloom (alaska) 3times through flower......and the clones I gave him, and the seedlings I gave him put all my plants to shame for overall health and vigor......this guy has experience and a green thumb,,,,Ill get pictures next time he takes me for a tour.......

1. clones under pyramids, hoping to save any keepers from this year......
2. burmese delight smells oh so good
3. sweetskunk getting sticky at week 8, 3 more to go........

08-13-2006, 08:37 AM
Here are some more delicious pictures......

I harvested some small buds from the bottom of these plants for medicine today.......almost perfect timing but we have to make do....... Ill be trimming these babies next week to refill the granola bar supply........

12345 all 007 @ 7weeks flowering, fruity smell throughout flower, and she is really packing on the weight now......she has been flushing for two weeks now and her last feed was chomfrey, camomile, stingingnettle tea........she is losing alot of leaves but the wheather is tough lately.......so maybe this week maybe next.......but the last few days she is going into the complete shade to coax out every last resin.......then she will hang to dry........you know the drilll...

outdoordreams
08-13-2006, 08:58 AM
couple more this week, next week Ill have more pictures of the mountain medicine.........8foot burmese delight (still hasnt sexed), but even if she is a boy her nieghbour is a 6 1/2foot blue chemo, and beside that is another 6foot blue chemo(triple noded)........

1.Lui @32days topping so late was not beneficial but she needed to fit in tarps area...
2. purple romulan in the sun really is beautiful ( i need better camera)
3. God bud top already sticky
4. Hippy crack top just starting to produce resin....

My island thai is doing very well, she got pollinated by her brother today.......
See pictures in the swamp herion tread.....

The powdermildew was kicking my ass until a couple days ago when I purchased some nasty chemical fungicide,,,,,,had no choice lose the plants or spray........All plants that got sprayed will no longer be used for medical patients even though the spray will no longer be there in 2months......but safety first......

A lama ate 3 colas off the 007s which are almost done........they just keep swelling and putting our more white hairs........chunky monkey......

Very impressive indeed.

I visited another outdoor garden yesterday (my 1st ever, actually), and realized just how 'natural' they feel, so in touch with mother nature.
Pictures don't really do justice to standing with them and seeing/smelling them first hand. The Sweet Skunk smell dominated the whole garden, I know you have a few, do you find the same, that SS smells a whole lot?

Thanks......Your right on Tug, pictures cant capture the outdoor beauty......They are bigger than they look, and you cant smell my pictures.......Standing beside a 7foot plant it awesome........very natural...........dont see many that size indoors........

Oh yeah I have a lazyboy beside the creek and on the left is Sweetskunk and a bunch of my elite clones, and on the left is the 007s........IM caught in between with my nose enjoying the air, a friend was sitting in the chair yesterday just about drolling.........but yeah the sweetskunk has a overpowering smell, very beautiful smell. Almost get high just smelling her......
IM drying a few bottom buds now so next week Ill get my first sample........

you should save some of that pollen divide it and drop it into gel caps and pop into the freezer for friends who want to play goddess

I for one would like to see a sweet pink grapefruit x island thai and merrit kush x island thai

outdoordreams
08-27-2006, 05:39 PM
Well I can do both manana,

Merritkush x islandthai

My merritkush is about 4weeks into bud, is it to late to pollenate her......

We will have to settle for sweettooth, not sure which version........

IM also going to hit a Godbud, and a 007 just for fun........maybe LUI......

I will try saving some pollen to play with this winter, I may end up with more elite cuts to cross him with......

However I would love to get more beans to play with next year, so I have more than one male and one female to choose from.......But Im very happy with these two healthy plants.........very similar growth structure......

catch pollen onto a piece of wax paper, gently tip paper so that debris falls off and pollen stays, let it sit out on a shelf of whatever for a day to dry
next day put a little bit into a number of empty gel caps, place into a vitamin bottle, film cannister or what have you with some rice on the bottom
into the freezer
whenever you need to do a pollination pull out 1 gel cap and let defrost for about an hour

dpn, thanks........I cant find that article anywhere, Ill keep looking through the pile of mj magazines Ive got and find it again......very important info that man has in his head.........

My green thumb friend is an old hippy, He just collects compost and chicken shit from infront of the chicken coop and makes un-airated teas, just keeps adding water and after it dilutes enough he adds more.......So the chicken shit is mostly had time to age or breakdown..........Then he adds comfrey tea while entering flowering stage, than he uses one cap full of morbloom (alaska) 0-10-10, and he has some of the best Ive ever sampled from the great outdoors.........

the pyramid work if you believe in them, one neighbour sleeps under one and swears by it........I met another guy who grew tomatoes under one and reported extra large tomatoes, the one growing in the kings chamber (seventh level of the pyramid) was bursting at the seams...............Ever heard of Dr. Fred Bell, the grandson of alexander Bell......He has done alot of research in the metaphysical and has done alot of work with pyramids.......
This is quite a simple science once you understand it, but it took me months to finish Dr.Bells book.........Now I understand the concept of time travel.......

TUG, everyone gets preferential treatment there, they are truly lovely people, everyone of them.........Cant wait to get those nectarines tommorow morning.......

And thanks TUG and LUNGUS for the offered cuttings, but Spacegrass is going to donate one of his newly aquired watty cuttings, and shes going to get knocked up in the next couple weeks.......

Were all those plants covered in order to get them to start flowering?

I really like the look of that 007. It sure looks like a sweet hybrid of some kind. The burmese is neat looking too. The watty kush plants look like cool, stout little indicas. I haven't tried it before, but sure wouldn't mind giving it a try. I've become quite a budder fiend, and I hear this is a nice budder strain. lol.

I am privaliged to show off my mentors garden..........hes known as the medicine man around here..........60+ years old.......30+years growing outdoors in the same valley............He has 10 greeeeen fingers and 10 green toes..................He spends almost no money on nutrients or additive, he is almost completely organic, and his herb is some of the smoothest outdoor you will ever taste.................I think I beat him this year at the thankgiving dinner cannabis cup.......but I cheated.....I enter Watty and Sweetskunk, and hippycrack, and burmese delight, and 007................

I gave this guy clones of my herb this spring, and I had a clone of each variety at the same stage, his finished about 3-5 times the size of mine.............yes he is a hippy................

1. really big plants in 20gallon buckets...........should both be pounders..........
2. "f" cola
3-4 more "f"
5. Very healthy patch

The story on these "F" plants is..................this spring he went to alberta and took a dozen of the runts from the boys growing way up north alberta.......he brought them back here and gave them love from all 10fingers and toes and they turned into monters.............Not the best resin production or density, but all have a nice odour and apparently the healthy plants in alberta turned out very nice and potent...........next year he and i will be growing this strain from seed.........

Hahahaha, Spacegrass thats funny, little odie had buds stuck to his ass but that wasnt a very attractive photo.............

cray youll have to wait till it all dries, and cures for that answer, I forced flowered elite cuttings so yeah they all get 4-41/2 stars, but no fives thats for sure............Naturally flowered plants is what Im interested in evaluating most, There were alot of stars this year, so Ill have to wait till it cures.........,.............but the purplepineberry pheno#1 is a favorite, rock hard nugs of crystally dankness............

The finishing time on Brendas skunk X NL, two with root restriction, and two with huge organic holes, all finished around oct. 15-23, but they sure could have used more intense light to finish them off with..........Ill sample the smoke of this crystally bud next week or two..................but very uniform plants with Xmas tree style, desent yeilders, 5-6 feet tall....................
Advertised to finish sept10-15 so Im a little disappointed........
The blue chemo looks spindley, but resinous.......cant wait till it cures a little.....
THe island thai looks all Sativa, and is curing as we speak, very impressed with the yield off this resious bush.................Thanks for the heads up on topping her, worked out perfectly..............she hermied so maybe I shouldnt have topped?????oh well I think she was sterile cause no surrounding plants seem to be pollinated.................

The three pineberry phenos I had this year all had very similar growth structures, and similar smells.............pheno #1 is dank super piney rock hard nuggets, great trippy buzz........pheno #2 is a less smelly equally dense bud............pheno #3 is similar to the super pinery #1 but muskier, less head more body than #1..............

Immunity........well Id say its hard when ya got this much variety, everyday is a new day...........

The #1 pheno is execellent tasting bong weed.............tastes good going in and out...........................

As per request Im going to go into more detail about grow techniques..........

Remember every outdoor grow is going to be different depending on location, elevation, latitude, microlclimates will affect herb grown in the same valley..............This is all based on my experiences @......a dry hot sunny area.........

The philosophy is less is more...........both in plant # and in feeding nutrients!
Try to plant 10 plants or less in one area, then they are much more camoflaged and less likely to be stolen or spotted by helicopters.......police and others!

Hiding plants behind short 5-6foot pine trees works great......but there are all types of camoflage areas to plant in..........youll get the hang of it when you get out to the area your looking at!
Planting in large 5-25gallon pots, or in grow bags 5-7gallon, or better yet promix bags cut in half make two great 20gallon+ bags, just cut holes throughout to let is drain and breath........Make sure the pots are covered so as not to be in direct sun shine as this will overheat the roots.
Also you can plant in the ground.......in this case I like to dig big holes and fill with soil..........5gallon holes will work but I like to go for 30-60gallon holes. These large holes will help to reduce watering but will also need lots of water supply to flush properly come fall!.......Some people work with the soil already found in their location, some remove most local soil and replace with a special mix.........For digging holes on the mountains sides I find two small trees on the hill side and place an old log in between the two and use it as a brace for the trench hole to be dug in behind......the log acts as brace for when you dig out the mountain side soil piles up and covers the log and is stong enough to walk on!

Hand water is great but to much work, gravity water systems are the only way to go. Ill show designs of these later.

I learned to grow by following Dj Shorts instructions in magazines, and he says less is more!
Dont overfeed your plants, its better to under feed than overfeed!
However dont starve your plants, this is a common mistake! And plants wont grow vigorously if you dont feed them............
I like to use a broad spectrum of nutrients to feed the soil. Yes, feed the soil and the soil will feed your plants! If you cant make teas than make sure you innoculate your soil with some friendly bacteria. Good information can be found in the organics forum!

I recommend adding glacial clay and or proclay and or glacial rock dust, all three is best, but one is fine........also rock phosphates, leonerdite, greensand, kelp meal will help make a healthy soil which will reward you with a healthy harvest. Agricultural Gypsum will help in the flushing processes later on. Diatomatious earth will help keep unwanted critters at bay.(some benenficial once aswell but I prefer no slugs) Diatomite is an extra that is high in natural silica, and like zeolite adds beneficial properties to the soil structure!

There are many different soil mixes but I like to stick with friendly manures, such as bat guano, lama manure, earthworm castings, composted horse and cow manure, and mushroom manure. ( I like to source every manure and casting to insure quality organic manures.) Using these as a base for your soil will help you grow healthy vibrant plants. Now adding other ingriedients to the soil is great but use in smaller portions than the packages recommend. Liquid additives I use 1/4 to 1/2 strength. Same as adding nutrients to soil I like to use 1/2 strength. This is only recommend because of the short growing season here, to help with flushing the plants. Some plants can use up the nutrients better than others so play it by ear.
Teas are highly recommended to feed your soil as the year goes, this way you can feed them what they need without over feeding them!

Use quality genetics to get quaility herbs.............There are seeds that will work for every corner of the planet.........If you cant find the right seeds, another option is to tarp your plants and force them to flower, this way you can grow any variety almost anywhere on earth! For the 50th pararlel north I found tarping for 3-7 days in early August was enough to to trigger most of the plants in time to finish........ You may want to extend the tarping period to ensure they start the flowering process........Tarping for a full 6-12weeks is more work but the results are worth it!

A great way to battle Powdery Mildew outdoors is 100% lemon juice foliar spray until its gone.......this can be done even in flowering with no harm to the plant or smoker!

This will all take place in a colder, wetter environment than Im used to, so it will be interesting. But if I did in alberta, than this cant be that hard.

Im really trying to figure a way to tarp some indoor plants again.
