we should hookup some sort of strainbase...but first lets get some ideas from everyone on what we want and need.
Also if someone can post the SSR template here we should be able to integrate that into the strainbase.

Standard Smoke Report Template
Standard Smoke Report Template
Purpose
The purpose of the standard smoke report (SSR) is to allow the community to have a means
for standardized reporting and to collect the observations in a format that is suitable for data
processing. The template provides an easy to follow guide that will enable any user to provide
a thorough and complete report. This template may be used freely but in order to maintain
uniformity the instructions, content and format of the questions should not be modified.
Instructions For Completing The SSR
Copy and paste everything between the cut lines including the code tags and record responses
within the square brackets that are provided. Free flowing comments may be entered at any of
the comment tags that are provided. When writing comments use the return/enter key at the
end of each line. Completed reports should be posted into the appropriate forum with the
subject set to SSR strain-name. For example:
Subject: SSR Yumbolt
In order to preserve spacing your report must begin and end with the code tags. Your report
should be posted as the first post in a new thread. Multiple reports in the same thread may be
overlooked during data collection and should be avoided. Failure to include the SSR string in
the subject line will also cause your report to be overlooked during data collection.

I suggest making the strainbase searchable based on the numerical values and ratings assigned to the different characteristics in the followup questions and smoke test sections.
For example, it would be great if you could think to yourself,
"you know I want to grow a new variety but I have no idea what I want to grow, lets go look at the strainbase...
Lets see I'd like something that has an aroma rating of 5 or less, a slow rate of tolerance build up, purple colors in the buds, and is something that most users think is good for a wake and bake.

Hey i know this is a really old thread but i think this is awesome!. I know how to database and if i had a bunch of standardized grow reports and SSR's I would gladly database it and post it.
let me know if anybody is interested, it would take a lot of time to create but it could be the best thing for growers

is there a standard grow report? any plant variables that can be quantified can be made into search variables (i.e. flower time, average stretch, odor, difficulty, etc...)
i think strainguide.org is trying to make something similar but they only have old OG reports, CW has real live growers trying new strains all the time.
it could be the shit!

i think it is more akin to a seedbank review of sorts. it has grow reports divided by breeder. It says that its is overgrow copyright 2004 so i have no idea what it would contain but im sure a lot has happened in 5 years (im just a youngun i wouldn't know :newbie:)
