Man I'm sitting here trying to clean up the house and I look around and see so many bags of trim I need to get rid of but I'd like to process it before I dump it. Somebody wanna loan me their bags or tell me how I can do it for free? I've tried cannabutter before but I've never had any luck with it getting me high, plus I could never afford/use that much butter right now.

You could always make ghetto hash using coffee filters instead of bags. It's not nearly as pure as using bags, but you'll still get some nice hash to smoke and it's almost free.
1. Mix trim with ice and water as you would for bags.
2. Strain mix through nylons or a silk scarf.
3. Let strained water stand until the sediment settles at the bottom. (about 1/2 hour)
4. Gently pour off excess water (or drill holes above sediment line) trying not to disturb the sediment at the bottom.
5. Filter sediment water through coffee filters

Water seperation.I have made hash through water seperation.Fill a jar about 3/4 with water.Add ground weed.Shake briefly and let settle. Then scoop plant material off top{as it floats},pour off water and you should be left with some hash.Dry on cardboard and Voila hashish.Try small batch first to make sure it works for you. Then get at it.Peace GS

GS.....I think that would leave more leaf than hash wouldn't it? Or are you talking about doing the water seperation and then the coffee filter?

nNo soaking the material, jut a quick shake.Separation happens quick too.Scoop off green before it starts to sink.Shouldn't take more than minutes.Like I said,if you're skeptical do a small batch first.,Peace GS

I'm gonna make some bags when I get around to it. Bought the silkscreen here
http://www.ryonet.com
For the sides I'll use rip-stop nylon...
Until then/up til now, I've grabbed a window screen and a peice of cardboard...slapped the trim on the screen and shook it...and the trichs and a bit of green fall out on the cardboard below. From there, get a panty hose and stretch it loosley over a jar....then pour in the trich/shake mix and filter it through the hose by agitating the weed lightly. When you remove the hose you;ll see some fairly clean trichs in the bottom of the jar....
heat/press this into chunks for "hash"....or just smoke the kif.
I then make BHO oil with the remaining trim. From there..if I'm feeling wild I'll mix the oil and trichs together to make some 'jelly". Man that shit is good!
have fun, bro!
just BHO it all instead mang.

oh yeah, I've tried the butane extraction before....not worth the money in my opinion, but maybe I made it wrong? Who knows. Sky highs idea sounds doable with my budget as does GS's. I'll just have to try both I guess. Thanks for the ideas so far....any more ideas....please....do list them :teeth:

Not necessarily,if moist material it can be stored in freezer for quite some time.Dried material should be ok most any time.Peace GS

Yeah you don't need to put anything higher than the 200 or 250 in.
Has anyone bought these bags yet and used them?
Results? I wonder about them being all screen/mesh.

Use 250 as mixing bag.Only use 35-150 for seperation. Not to many heads bigger than 150 microns.Good luck.Peace GS

bags have arrived...
simply scrren material, seamed with a draw string at the top. light weight, not to mix the trim in but very possibly to pour a slury mix through using the 2 bucket system
will update once used :)

That's what I was thinking when I looked at them.
Thx. for keeping us posted.
dry sieve hash, the cheapest and easiest to make. you should go buy some silk screen at a craft store, its cheap. shouldnt be more than 10 dollars. if its cheaper buy a few micron sizes. grab a old picture frame, attatch the screen and shake shake shake. might take longer but itl be good stuff.

imo, id do the dry sieve method with the dry trim. with the buckets and bags, fresh frozen seems to make the best bubble. dry trim never seems to come out very good in the bags for me.
you can get whatever size silk screens with frames pretty cheap, with the frames already done nice and tight, makes a sweet sieve, as the frames keep the weed on the screen and not goin all over the place.
run it almost like pannin gold. shake the screen back and forth, then bust up the material more and shake some more. over glass or mirror, and youll have a nice pile of keif pretty quick.
