Hey JKP, could you, would you, do a pictorial on the Texas Heather and Karen? Even if it is just through the bloom that would help me alot. I was going to start it some, but other strains I had info on got started instead. So little space so little time.

I can't believe this is the first time I've ever seen this thread!LOLOL.
Hey Vapor, did that Bubba Kush X Yumboldt cross come from your own work or did you source the clone? Reason I ask is I was sent a strain called Bubba Yum and it was bred by Orgnkid and its Bubba Kush X Yumboldt. I finished it up like 3 -4 weeks ago, it was very branchy and yielded decent like 2 zips out of a 3 gal. It's not a super strong strain but its super tasty!! This strain smells more like BubbleGum than any straight BubbleGum strain I've had except for the Socal Bubblegum that demolished me back in like '97. Anyways time for my current run:

Bubba Kush
Bannana Kush
Chem Dawg
PK
PK X ECSD
Sour Diesel X Mint Bubba Kush X Chocolate Thai
Bubba Kush X Metal Haze
Chocolate Trip S1(just to make sure I hate it!!LOL)
Sour Diesel X Crystal Locomotive
Purple Dawg Haze

Marigyp ; you like the Heather
well i just so happen to have all my images from start to finish , which i posted in the previous CW, i have each week covered and 48 days flower ( suggested, i waited a week longer)
so, from this image, thru this image, any questions , fire away, any time
Low Nute Strain, grow as you would SOL, and you'll be fine
after all , its a Breeder Steve Knockoff

Joe King Park
07-14-2006, 11:08 AM
thanks Grohard, thats TH5, i have revegged her twice and she's outside with the rest of the girls
she's smooth, not too hard hitting, reminds one a lot of SWT3, or lavender
which i believe to be the cross
Karen is a much hard hitter, a widow cross , i believe
super easy to grow, and no mould probs, and on top of that she endured very cold nights/ lights off
only the soil was the insulater at temps dipping as low as 4 degrees
encouraged resin production , but stressed the plant heavily
so, in conclusion i would have to say this is a very forgiving strain to grow

Hey JKP, how was Karen in the taste department, as well as yield? I had a widow from '98 that was the shit, and it wasn't the Aloha!! Believe it or not it was from Nirvana, but this was for me, the best strain by a long shot! '98 must've been a good year for White Widow, like '97 Bubba cuz everybody always ravin' about how they got the Pre-'98 Bubba cut, when I got my Bubbz dude was like ur really priviledged cuz this is the Pre-'98 cut, I was like I don't give a damn long as it gets me that '08 Money!!!LOL!!! I wonder if your Karen is anything like those great widows from back then?

Joe King Park
07-14-2006, 02:07 PM
98 , eh? , i was into white shark , rhino , widow, etc
the original breeder of the white widow has re released his original version of White Widow
but saying that , a couple of years back everyone was saying Black Widow was the closest relative of the original Widow
regardless, they are both Uber Strong
there is also a faster flowering version of WW, and thats a strain called The Doctor ( indoor Yield; 1000 grammes per plant, yet plant remains compact)
here have a look through issue #1 and #2 of 2006 www.soft-secrets.nl
to be honest in regards to Plan B / TRC, a lot of folk got ripped off, and the seeds were not up to scratch, with mutants across the board. the seeds i recieved were different to those being sold , more stable , as i was doing a grow diary
thats why you never saw one image of Vegas/Lonestar Plants, just other folk who agreed to grow them
a test grow should have been done before release, as hermies and mutants aplenty
plus scraping a seed with a blade is not a good sign of a healthy , and viable seed
Heres PlanB, or Vegas' attempt at Grapefruit
unique , sure , but not quite what i expected
although i have a selection of SYSco Seeds, they are far from being the best
lots of hype and hot air

I did 10 Karens, jkp...all 10 germed without scraping...but all 10 were male.

I personally think the weak side of the collabaration was the TRC side of the equation, not the Plan B side. Lonestar's strains have little to no variation from my experience. OK pot, but very little variety between strains and an across the board "blah" taste. In fact, the SW13 is unsmokable...and I'm not alone on this cus I know someone with over a pound who is like.."OK..now what do I do with this shit?" After a few months in the jar it has develped a very "Mexican" smell to it...like "dirt pot" in the 70's. Destined for BHO, no doubt.

Vegas ain't perfect, but he brought a lot more variety to the table than LS did with his overdone/overhyped "Sharon" crosses...variety that LOnestar casually/convieniently copped as his own when they pair split.

my take, anyway....

JKP thanks heaps and gobs of BHO my friend. I truelly appreciate your having posted these pics and taking the time to evaluate these strains. I was gifted some of the Karens by Vegas, and now they have moved to the top of my fall indoor grow list! Could you tell us if that last shot is of the Karen? That looks a like my WW from last falls grow.

Your efforts here have really upped the informative quality of this thread. Have a great day JKP and once again thankyou for your diligence. :worthy:

heres Vegas' contribution to Plan B
Lonestar before going commercial regularily gave away AWESOME SEEDS
his reputation then as The Resin Monk was Sound
it was not until he hooked up with Joe and later vegas, that his reputation slid downhill
i'm sure many a breeder will agree that such strains as Devastation, Texas Mystic, B13, DJ -BBF3, to name a few were top drawer herb
He did use a lot of Breeder Steves Strains , but i remember just before Steve last left CW, i remember him asking for LS to come over and help out with his signatory "Asskickin Boots", which despite several Pm's to LS , went unanswered !!, very hippocritical considering LS' worshiping of Breeder Steve
Sky High, you must admit that Vegas did not participate very often, and left LS on his tod most of the time
undoubtely Vegas shafted LS, and although LS did succumb to Vegas and his buddies at BCBS, and parted company
all my Alexis and 6 of my Mary Janes were Male
Bordello's went Hermie

But nothing matched Vegas' attitude after i voiced my concerns over him, stepinrazor , and rezdog@ICrag

Darn Greed and Jealousy sank that ship for sure, and i am sure LS regrets ever getting involved in so much deciet

i'm sure He's on the heal, last i heard he was on his own at BB
free from the Cult
like i am, and i hope you are too

Marigyp ; no problemo; the two above shots are Karen001 and Karen002 followed by an image of Gods Grape@44 Days

if i recall i had at least 5 females from the Karen ( V2 ? ), and she's double the strength of heather
anyway; Vegas' only offering to me; Mutefruit , or Grapefruit as its normally called

Joe

Grohard, simple answer, it does'nt compare to the original whites fwiw

sounds like a better strain would be Cherry hash plant X Sensi Star !
which i hope to start after finishing a run of POG, also a "White" cross

To be continued ( someday,lol)

Thanks a lot Joe. I know how hard you were working with them and that you must have developed a relationship as well. Greed, jealousy, and personal agandas have ruined many a good partnership. Thanks once again for your enthusiastic help. I will be looking forward to trying out the Karens.
