Just wondering, what is the earliest you have put new sprouts under HID lighting? I don't deal with new sprouts alot....usually only clones and just wondering when the earliest I can put them in without burning them or stressing them. I have a 400W HPS.

I usually keep them an inch from the floros for a week or two. Then set the HID far away and bring it alittle closer every day.

I typically wait til their first node is developed... Earlier than that and they seem to stress a bit too much for my liking.

Same here week or two depending on the plants I'm runnin then turn em. Usually FIM the ones I want before turning.

well I tested it and I put them in before their first node was well developed. They drooped for a day and turned the leaves under but damn did they grow quick.

Here's a pick of them about 8 or 9 days ago and then a picture of them today.......

i pop'em under a 400mh....i keep the light about 5' or so away
and i also put them under a glass till they grow a lil..
kinda like a green house effect..then i slowly move the light
closer every few days...never had a problem yet....
