...this morning, as I was scoping out my latest utility bill. I live in the NE US, and so far this heating season, during no month has my gas bill been for more than during the corresponding month last season.

So, I realized that Bush's stance on global warming isn't out of a lack of hard scientific evidence, ignorance, or anything else - it's a plan to help us reduce our dependence on foreign oil/natural gas by reducing our need for those products during the heating season. Brilliant!!!

All tongue-in-cheekness aside, I must say that one of the milder winters in a few years certainly did arrive at the right time, at least in my neck of the woods.

yup, it's been warmer here too.. I worked as a snow plow driver this year and we have had the least amount of snowfall I can remember... ever.

If this keeps up, I will be spending winters mowing lawns and trimming hedges.

We had the warmest January in history and the rest of the winter has been the mildest in the almost 20 years I have lived here.
