How good do lady bugs and nematodes work?
I got a buddy with a Monster mite problem and hes ready to bloom !
is it worth the money or should it best be spent on steadly neeming the fuck out of them?
Hi DOZEE
LadY Bugs all the way Bro! ;) Give them a week or so to get things under control before inducing flowering. Also...keep in mind most stores have to order the LB's in, which usually takes a week or so. In the meantime I'd reccy a total room fog with Doctor Doom, then Neem Oil every 3rd day until the LB's arrive. :)

quit dorkin around with the neem, its fine for prevention in your veg spot. go and get HotShots no pest strips, and that will be the end of your mite problems. im in the high desert, and we have mites thick here, and i been usin those strips, not a mite or any other fookin bugs for well over a year.
put the strip in for a few days and thats that. i leave a new strip in for a month. then if they show up again, just put another in the room. ive purchased two strips in the last year, and im good to go. they cost around 10.00, hell of alot easier then all the homemade remedies.

Hey all, TD, you took the words right outta my mouth. One other option is to take the hotshor NPS and attach with tie wire to a fan for a day or so, just don[t be in the room with that fan on, if I remember right, that shits a nerve agent. Nasty, but does the trick!

yeah dont leave the strip in there, just need a few days and there gone. but ill never lose a crop from um again. soon as i see them white spots its all over for um, lol.
i suck in outside air from low to the ground, so they get in no matter what. every summer they show up like clock work.

a word about NPS and mites.. i don't have specific data on %'s, but a lot of mites are immune to them.. so don't be dissapointed if it doesn't work. (i was)
my advice.. isolate an infested leaf and put it a ziplock w/a NPS.. then inspect in 10 min. if it kills them, thank the Canna Gods and nuke the room.. in that order.
if that doesn't work, check my sig.. peace.. CM

Good point and an excellent way to check for NPS resistant mites. Too many folks are only half ridding themselves of mites and unfortunately sharing their 'wealth'.
IMO, any working mite treatment needs to be repeated at least 4 times with 3 day gaps between each. If there is a subsequent infestation increase that to at least 6 times.

also worth a mention IMO is the fact that beneficial predator mites, ladybugs or whatever will get the job done if the light is on a 18-24 hour cycle
as bad reports from those using predator mites were attempting to eradicate them from the flowering room which is 12/12, with little success
also High temps are the hardest times to introduce predator mites, high summer is the worst time to have an infestation !
