Alpacas and LLamas

Anyone here raising either of these beasts? My Bride spins(wool/fleece) and yes the other too if I mind my manners, and is interested in picking a few up.
All I know is they poop in 1 spot which makes them a composters dream, and you can spend stupid money on the Alpacas which I won't.

Llama's can carry 4 bales of sunshine mix at a time up virtually any slope.....Best 4 x 4 around.

Some guy used to farm some Llamas around here. I think they are pretty docile.

They have a nasty habit of spitting in your face though....But they love kids..weird!

Supposedly you can get a "guard Llama" that will protect the herd.
I don't know about bales C.A. but I know I love the idea of going into the bush without humping a mofo pack...
