Nice pics PB. That is the Widow pheno of Sugar Blossoms. The "saw tooth" and upturned leaf pattern is common with the Widow phenos .The more skunk leaning phenos have the best flavour by far. The strain had a tight following among the old CGI crowd and was much loved by the folks there. PB is probably correct insofar as the Grimm White Widow lineage coming from the male side of the genetic equation in Sugar Blossoms.

High Soul! Thanks for the WONDERFUL gentics!!!And thanks to BG for letting me beta test the RS!
The RS has 2 phynotypes,A:Sativa ,pinetree shaped bud B:Indica ,club headed shaped buds. The Sativa has the twisted rope growth pattern, that has filled in well the last week of flower(its about a week longer then the Indica so no report on high/taste yet).

The Indica type RS has some of the best trichome production I have ever seen;thick, long hairswith huge glands that make it look ready about 2 weeks befor it's ripe!!!( about 8 weeks). The smell is sharp/sweet with a hint of spice,RS will make a very good stealth grow,no funk or skunk at all. The buds are very hard and very sticky, gumming up the clippers baddly while I was trimming.
The Indica RS has to be cured to bring out it best traits,a fast dried bud from the last two weeks of flower will disappoint .But after 2 weeks of curing the ripe bud, the taste and high are both up front but subtle.
Taste:greasy ginger/herb,very smooth smoke,my Med friends love that they aren't hacking after a hit.
High: Clear, head domanated high with no paranoid rush(don't get me wrong, the rush from a big hit of Cindy is one of me faves!!!)3-4hr duration.
I will have a report on the Sativa type next week.’-greenbear75

‘Just ordered some RS from RC. I'm really looking foward to this one. Is this one of yours?
=Soul=>It's a collaboration. I contributed the female.

Don't know if you did the GWS but it was GREAT.
=Soul=>No that's my partner's work...I agree!’-Mr Soul

my bad: this is was the RS description, rather than SB...i'll hunt up the SB stuff when time and attitude allow...

Cut and paste for sugar blossom from the BG forum:

‘After all I read about the Bros. Grimm and their superior genetics I finally decided to put out my $125 for some Sugar Blossoms . Why Sugar Blossoms ? . Well I heard it was one of the higher yielding strains available from the Bros and I was looking for some big ass plants . The plants started off okay . In fact they outgrew everything else in the first 6 weeks of veg . From the looks of them I thought I was on to something really nice . After 7 weeks I put them into flower . They finished in 54 days and were close to 6 feet tall when I took them down . Now for the rub of rubs . I yielded close to 2 ozs from the two big girls . Yes 2 solitary ozs . Eventhough the colas looked good and big they had no weight to speak of . The few side buds that were there were hardly worth the effort of clipping . For the life of me I cannot understand what happened . I did'nt change a thing from previous grows . In fact I let the plants veg a few days longer and fed them alittle more than before . The sugar blossoms were right under the lights . I have some SSH going in the same setup and these girls are bending over from the the weight of the buds . And remember this is supposeed to be one low yielding lanky sativas with the wispy buds . Somethings wrong , how can the SSH be showing up the venerable Sugar Blossoms ?. I repeat again one oz from a 6 foot plant . Not good in anyone's books . To put things in perspective I have gotten twice as much bud from Nirvana's top 5 indoor mix . Nirvana seeds are also a mere fraction of the price of Bros. Grimm's .
Needless to say I am dissapointed with my results . Did I miss something or do these plants require a magic ingredient or something . I for one am preplexed by this whole growing episode . The lesson I have learned is there is not necessarily a correlation between seed quality and price . Let the buyer beware .’-greenade

‘My friend experienced the VERY SAME PROBLEM!!

He grew it out and the product was of extremely high quality, although it did seem more of a WW than anything else. Still, delightful smoke, very expanding.

But, the very poor yield especially considering the large size of the plant was SHOCKING!!!!!!!

This was about 8 months ago and I told him that perhaps he got a BAD PHENO. So, he is growing out the other few seeds to see what happens.

Right now, he is working with Ice Princess and is fully satisfied with it. He wants to get some C-99 to experiment with. Problem is that he has other selections from other breeders he wants.

So many seeds, so little time.’-Ashcroft

‘I have a dear friend who has grown out C99, Ice Princess, Sugar Blossoms and Rosetta Stone (he's a pro grower) and he says that none of them is a real good yielder. I tried samples of all of them, C99 was the most interesting high, kind of a nervous paranoid feeling, but very unsettling, not a happy high by any measure. The others are really variations on a White Widow (they tell me they are all 50% Widow) and not that potent at that (my friend has a real killer Widow clone, much more potent).
My friend was overall pleased with Bros Grim strains, although none became a staple of his commercial grow. He said the average to low yield of Grimm strains was to be expected, since all mothers (for C99, SBlossom, R.Stone) are Jack Herers of a haze pheno, which is the worst yielder. So expect good quality, average Widow potency in Grimm's Widow crosses (my Misty is much more potent than Sugar Blossoms, and a good yielder), and average to low yields.’

‘Just an additional comment, I'd bet that all those Widow crosses (Blossom,R.Stone, IcePrincess) will not be offered again, as my friend said that all Widow work was Sly's responsibility, and now Sly is gone. Soul will likely "clean" his lineup of not so hot strains when he comes back. So it'll be interesting to see which strains he lets go of.’-KaliMister

didn’t know whether to include this but it’s straight to you Willy (please let timmy out of the gimp box):

‘Well basicly, anything that has much potency to it, is part or all indica.

The simple truth is tropical sativas don't do well indoors. And the good ones need a very long growing season outdoors as well.

The closest thing I have seen so far to real good sativa is Superjack. And Cindrella is a component of it.

SJ was made with Wonderbud, Cinderella, and my Hawaiian Haze.

Now the interesting thing is that the parts, are much inferior to the whole in this case.

AS per example none of the parents had anywhere near the potency, or quality of the Superjack.

Cinderella does have a tendancy to be a runt in the yield department (she is mostly caylx though rather then leafy though). But can give good yields with the right cross, as well as be very potent.

---

Cindy did 2 z's for us in the bubbler. Wonderjack which is an F1 hybrid of Wonderbud and Cinderella. Retains Cindy's small yield, but the taste is awesome. And it's one of the highest quality potent indica dom's you will find imo. (Note: Superjack far out yields Wonderjack)

When I first got hold of Bill Wonder after about 5 years, he had stabalized his version of Wonderbud.

What I smoked was very stable, very tasty, very resin encrusted dope, with an aroma that almost hypnotized you into smoking it.

But it was also pot you could smoke all day if you were a chronic smoker of the best dope (like I am).

I like weed that a couple of hits, and you forget where your at for a while lol, and it's at least a couple of hours before you want to smoke more.

I told Bill what I thought. And he became very offended. He went on for some time insisting I was wrong (for about 6 months). He even wanted me to throw my strains away insisting they were ditch weed quality (like everything else but his strains).

But after Bill stopped smoking SJ and the other new hybrids we created, and went wild with withdrawl (which didn't happen anywhere near as bad with his Wonderbud when he had stopped before). He admitted I was totally right.’-Hype
